Is Sprouted Food Really Healthier ?

Now a days it has become a trend to eat sprouted seeds. All the food grains are now suddenly sprouted including grains, nuts, seeds, beans etc. But are they really more nutritious than the unsprouted ?

Sprouted seeds are those seeds that have started to grow. These seeds contain a raw material that grows into a new plant within the appropriate temperature and moisture conditions. To stop the baby plants from growing they are dried or mashed and added to other cooking recipes.

Seeds naturally contain some compounds that keeps them from sprouting until the conditions are appropriate . But when a seed sprouts those compounds are cancelled by surge in Enzymes. These enzymes helps the baby plant to grow by increasing the nutrients in the seed.  These nutrients are more useful to us as well and even easier to digest.

According to the research, and journal published in the Plant Food for Human Nutrition discovered that  fiber content is increased in brown rice by 6 to 13% after adding the sprouts. But  it is safe until and unless you know how to make a seed sprout in good and healthier condition. If the seeds are broken down in sprouting condition there is a chance of growing bacteria in the broken sprouts. This is make you very ill. So, just go with the safe sprouting techniques
